Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum, in conjunction with Banner Health, designed Arts in Mind for individuals with mild to moderate dementia and their care partners. This program offers opportunities for individuals to foster dignity and sense of self, as well as building connections for them with their loved loves, through arts engagements. Karen Jilly completed training through Banner Health to be able to participate in Sense of Place: Urban Landscapes which highlighted her artwork and that of Bonnie Lambert. Four sessions over a two-month period consisted of interactive gallery walks and hands-on art making. Arts in Mind is made possible through an NEA grant.
