Many visitors to Arizona find relief in the desert as an escape from their cold winter home states. For artist master printer Brent Bond and a group of artists their relief in the desert is about making art at Santo Press in Scottsdale, Ariz. These artists are using the technique of relief printing to create a lasting impression with their fine art prints.

Relief printing is a printing process that requires the artist to carve their design into a block of wood, linoleum or some other material’s surface. The image is transferred from the raised surface onto paper by running the fully inked block and paper through a printing press together.

Since 2009, Santo Press has been working side by side with both regionally and nationally recognized artists of various disciplines. This exhibition showcases a unique collaboration between Santo Press and 26 artists highlighting their various artistic styles and visions in original fine art prints. Find your Relief in the Desert by viewing the art on display at the Phoenix Airport.
